The Super Falcons of Nigeria on Tuesday, defeated the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon 3-1 in Yaounde, bringing their two match friendly series to level terms.
The Lionesses had beaten the Super Falcons 1-0 in the first game of the friendly on Sunday at the Military Stadium.
Cameroon drew first blood scoring the lead in the seventh minute. However, the Super Falcons replied in the 32nd minute when Chinwendu Ihezuo scored the equaliser off a Rinsola Babajide assist.
Babajide scored the second goal just two minutes to the end of the first half while Michelle Alozie’s flying header off a 64th minute cross from captain Rasheedat Ajibade gave the Super Falcons the 3-1 victory.
Both the Super Falcons and the Lionesses are using the games as part of their preparations for the 14th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations which will be held in Morocco from March 17 to April 3.
